I use Wishlist Member for most of the membership sites I build. It’s the most stable platform within wordpress that I’ve found, with the most options. It’s been around for years (I posted this originally in 2013) and has a great developer community. There are tutorials for pretty much anything you want to do with it. For full blown membership sites where you expect a lot (200 or more) members, I prefer Kajabi.
While there are a lot of tutorials on how to use Wishlist, one particular area was overlooked. All I wanted to do was create a stand alone Wishlist Member login page. I didn’t want to use the login widget. Just a straight page like domain.com/login – how hard should that be?
This isn’t covered in any of the training videos by Wishlist Member and I couldn’t find it in any of the support documentation either, which is a shame, because I think many people who have Wishlist Member installed would want to use it…
Turns out it’s freakishly simple. All you do is add the shortcode:
[loginform]
To whatever page on which you want a login form. Yep, it’s that simple! It’s not in the documentation and I had to trawl through the code to find it.
It used to be in their documentation, but I’m guessing it was accidentally deleted in one of the updates. This is one of the more popular posts on this site. I’m glad to have been able to save some hair follicles.

When I first purchased Wishlist: Member 2 years ago, this tip WAS included in the supporting documentation. AND it was easy to find. Now, here I am building a new site and am looking for it again and it is no longer there. In fact, their support materials in general seem MUCH less helpful than they used to be. So… thanks for posting this here. It saved me a ton of frustration today.

Now if they would only provide a popup login screen…

Do you know if they have a code for the registration form?

Curiously this info does not appear anywhere in their documentation as of 2013 so that makes me wonder what the hell they are thinking in NOT including it anywhere… login pages are normal practice imo.

Thank you so much ! I thought I would have to code some stuff to get this to work !
I searched so much for this under the Wishlist tutorial, and thought this was not an option and would take some time to code…
Best,
Gyda

This is REALLY HELPFUL!
Exactly what I need.
I am combining wishlist member and woocommerce, the only way I found to log in is woocommerce login page, nothing else.
Many thanks.
